Welcome to Christ Church C.E. (VA) Junior School

Christ Church school can be found on Park Road, Sowerby Bridge just two miles from Halifax. The OFSTED inspection report in June 2007 described our pupils' personal development as outstanding.

It was stated that pupils at this school, "follow a clear moral code and their heightened social awareness and concern for others creates a very happy family atmosphere."

  The school has invested heavily in ICT. Classroom 3 has recently been converted to a dual purpose room serving as both classroom and as an ICT suite. Teachers use digital projectors and interactive whiteboards to make lessons exciting.This work was recognised when we were awarded the ICT Mark for, 'Demonstrating commitment to continual improvement through ICT.'

More recently the school's work has also been recognised by being awarded, 'Dyslexia Friendly School,' 'National Healthy School, 'the 'Full International Award,'the 'Basic Skills Quality Mark 'and Investors in Pupils status.

We are a happy, vibrant school as you will recognise if you visit us in person. However, this website may be as near as you get so it will be our aim  to try to portray this for you as we steadily develop the site.
