A Welcome from our Headteacher,

Miss Embleton

Dear Parents,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you and your child to Christ Church CE (VA) Junior School. Thank you for choosing us to play a crucial role in your child's academic, physical, emotional and spiritual development over the next few years. We are truly honoured to do this.

Our school works as a team in which parents, children, staff and governors are all involved in the education of our children. We believe that children learn best in a nurturing, safe and secure atmosphere. We aim to ensure that everyone feels valued for who they are and are able to grow in faith, learning and love during their time at our school.

Our goal over the next four years is to help your child become an independent, confident and successful learner. We will nurture their academic, sporting and creative talents to the best of our ability so that your child can reach their potential and truly be the best they can be. In order to achieve this, we need your help. You, as a parent, play a vital role in your child's education. We look forward to working closely with you so that you are part of your child's school life, and part of our school family. During the school year there will be opportunities for you to visit the school, discuss your child’s progress and join in a wide range of activities. In addition, if you wish to offer your help and skills, this is always most appreciated!

You are very welcome to come and visit our school, or ask any questions, I will be delighted to help. Likewise, if at any time you have any concerns, or even if you don’t, but wish to talk to your child’s class teacher or myself, then please call or contact school so that we can arrange an appointment.

We look forward to working with you and your child.
