Christ Church CE (VA) Junior School is committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all children in school. We promote fundamental British Values and protect our children from extremist views and actions. Our school follows the Calderdale Safeguarding Children Board procedures, including PREVENT procedures. The school will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents about their children. However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Multi-Agency Screening Team (MAST) and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Calderdale Safeguarding Children Board Procedures). The school will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents. The school’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy is available by clicking this LINK and is reviewed annually.
During this period of school closure due to Covid-19, we have additional Emergency Safeguarding Procedures. These can be viewed here.
If you have any concerns regarding the safety or well-being of a child or children at the school, please don't hesitate to inform us to allow appropriate actions to be taken.
